How to make red rice!

Rice is a side meal that can literally go with anything. It is one of the most common things getting made in my household. It’s very common because it’s really easy to make as well as very quick. In my house when we decide to have rice we either eat it with chicken and mole or with bananas!! That may sound wierd but it has a wonderful taste!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of jasmine rice
  • 2 cups of water
  • 3 tomatoes
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • Tiny bit of onions
  • Salt (as desired)
  • Vegetable oil
  • A little bit of Chicken flavor bouillon

Instructions:

  1. On a saucepan pour some oil, not too much but just enough to get the rice to fry evenly. Make sure to put the heat in low.
  2. Pour the cup of rice in the saucepan
  3. Begin to mix the rice with the oil but be careful on not burning the rice
  4. Begin to prepare the sauce while the rice is on the stove. Add the tomatoes, garlic, onion, the chicken flavor bullion, and the 2 cups of water.
  5. Blend all the ingredients together until it is liquid! And make sure to keep moving the rice.
  6. Keep moving the rice until it is a golden brown
  7. Pour the sauce once the rice is ready.
  8. Add salt into the rice as well
  9. Make sure the sauce covers all the rice by just moving the rice lightly, to make sure the rice doesn’t break
  10. Put tin foil on top of the rice to capture all the vapor. Then add the lid on top.
  11. Wait about 30 minutes for the rice to get ready.
  12. Once the 30 minutes are over check the rice to see if it is ready! If not then wait about 5 more minutes. But if it is ready then it’s ready!!
  13. You can now enjoy some pretty awesome rice! I recommend eating it with some sliced bananas. (It’s really good!)
